It is a 6 hour training, and it has to be taken every year by Safety Care certified staff members. The re-certification training reviews the main competencies learned during the full safety care training.
Please note: Certification lasts for 1 year from the first date of your previous training. There is a 3 month "grace period" where you may still recertify, but may not use the procedures. Following this grace period, you will need to sign up for the 2-day Verbal and Physical De-escalation Combo Training instead of the Re-certification Training.
