The purpose of Tier 2 behavioral interventions is to serve the 10-20% of students who continue to exhibit behavior challenges while experiencing the supports within Tier 1. The goal of Tier 2 interventions is to reverse or reduce behavior challenges in order to prevent harm or a trajectory towards negative life outcomes.
